Home Journey
The
Journey
Two strands, read together. The dated entries are the Ajmera Group’s own published chronology — the house in which this career took place. The marked entries are what the company records of Sanjay Ajmera’s remit. Where a date is not on the record, none has been invented.
How to read this page.
A career of almost thirty-one years inside a group founded in 1968 sits roughly in its second half — the decades in which the Group moved from housing colonies to townships, from townships to high-rise development, and from a family business to a listed company.
Entries marked Group are drawn from the chronology Ajmera publishes. Entries marked Remit describe responsibilities recorded in the company’s board profile; they are placed alongside the timeline for context and are deliberately undated, because the company does not date them.

The groundwork is laid
Shri Chhotalal S. Ajmera — Chhotubhai — lays the groundwork for the Ajmera Group and establishes its headquarters in Manish Nagar, Andheri, Mumbai. He had come to Mumbai with, in the Group’s own account, aspiration and enthusiasm rather than capital.

The unconventional turn
After a decade of work the founder takes an unconventional path and focuses the business on the mid and budget residential segment. It is the decision the Group identifies as its first real breakthrough, and it sets the character of everything that follows: volume, delivery and ordinary households rather than trophy assets.

A leading role in Pune development and construction

What the chronology does not say.
Dates for an individual’s appointments, education and personal milestones are not published by the company, and are therefore absent from this page rather than estimated. If those details are provided, they can be added to this timeline without any change to its structure.
